“ Incredible food and drink selection, the seasonal drinks are all very delicious and quickly made, and the food options are cafe/bodega hybrids, like the Vegan Chopped Cheese. Anything you get here will be good, all the way down to the mini scones ”
“ This place has such a nice vibe and great coffee. My favorite neighborhood cafe. I come here to get some work done and just relax. They have WiFi, books, and smooth jazz playing. Their pastries are surprisingly good. They make them fresh every morning. The Almond Croissant is my fave. The coffee is also good. It's a bit pricey but worth it. Overall, my experience here has been pleasant. ”
“ Didn’t know what to expect when walking into The Daily Press. I am somewhat familiar with Brooklyn but never this part. Ocean Hill who knew ! I was here for a paint event and was glad I went ! The aesthetic and ambiance were awesome , cool artwork books a coffee bar a regular bar and great places to sit. There was a campaign event going on for a city council seat and so much was going on. It was a microcosm of our city. Black, White, Latino , gay straight you name it our people existing and chilling as one. I am a lifelong NY’er and this place is it . I will be back . I hope to go to another event soon. Met so many cool people in one night , a sign of a special place. Drink prices affordable as well. ”
“ Cute little cafe with local bagel options and tasty coffee! Our coffee was a litttleee too sweet so don't be afraid to ask for 1/2 sweet. The inside was also super cute and staff were friendly. ”

The portabello sandwich was especially tasty. The playlists are bomb and they display train times on their ticker board for the nearby C train. ”
“ Go Brooklyn! On my visit to NYC, I had a show in Brooklyn and stopped in for a quick bite at The Daily Press. The atmosphere was cool, small tables and counter service, board games and books lined the shelves. It felt like a the local hangout. The food was great. I had a chicken sandwich that was huge, would rather have had fries instead chips but the sandwich alone was enough. ”

Vegan apple ginger bread and spiced honey coffee were a match made in heaven. I hope I can come back in the evening to enjoy the bar. There's also a sizable selection of books and board games, and a printer for public use. For casual historical architecture/design nerds, the original huge arched windows, brick walls, and original hardwood floor are all intact. ”
